Before you apply

Registration is an assessment—not statutory accreditation or a work guarantee.

Contractors retain all legal, licensing, safety, quality and compliance responsibilities.

Only appropriately licensed, registered or authorised practitioners may perform or sign regulated work.

APIS may verify information and approve, conditionally approve, defer or decline an application.

Registration does not guarantee work volume, value, allocation, exclusivity, territory or continuity.

APIS Contractor Connect

Terms and Conditions

Review the complete commercial, conduct, information, verification and no-guarantee conditions below before submitting your registration.

01Terms, Conditions and Privacy

By registering with APIS Contractor Connect, the contractor agrees to the current APIS terms and Privacy Policy. APIS may update those documents and will make the current versions available. Information should not be submitted where the applicant does not accept the applicable terms.

02Provision of information

Applicants must provide true, accurate, current and complete information about their entity, activities, personnel, capability and compliance status. Contractors must not impersonate another person or entity, misrepresent an affiliation or conceal their identity. Contractors remain responsible for checking and correcting their information.

03Assumption of risk and information use

Contractors provide services at their own risk and remain subject to all applicable laws and regulations. APIS may use submitted information to assess capability, safety and compliance, share relevant information with clients considering the contractor, conduct APIS business and respond to lawful requests. Electronic communications cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure.

04Code of conduct and non-circumvention

Contractors must act lawfully and professionally, protect other users and APIS systems, and must not submit harmful, unlawful, misleading or infringing material. Once a client or prospective client is identified through APIS, the contractor must not circumvent APIS directly or indirectly unless APIS agrees in writing.

05Law enforcement

Information may be reviewed or disclosed where required for the investigation or prosecution of possible criminal activity or in response to a court order, legal process or lawful government request.

06Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, APIS does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timing, uninterrupted availability or results of the service. APIS is not responsible for indirect, special, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of Contractor Connect, transmitted information, third-party systems, unauthorised access, equipment failure or events outside APIS control.

07Links to other sites

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and do not constitute endorsement. APIS does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, security or practices.

08Termination

APIS may suspend or terminate registration or access, with or without cause, including for unpaid fees, lack of client use, non-compliance, performance concerns or breach of the terms. On termination, access ceases and APIS is not obliged to maintain or forward account content.

09Payment

Payments are non-refundable except where a refund is expressly available under clause 17 and all stated conditions have been satisfied. APIS may suspend or terminate access where an amount is rejected, reversed, overdue or otherwise unpaid.

10Registration prequalification

APIS prequalification does not remove any statutory duty and is not statutory accreditation, certification, licensing or an endorsement. It does not establish that the contractor complies with every law. The contractor must keep information current, notify APIS of errors or changes and maintain every licence, registration, authorisation, insurance and competency required for its work.

11Intellectual property rights

APIS materials, systems, content and intellectual property are protected by applicable laws. No right is granted except as expressly provided, and copyright or proprietary notices must not be removed or altered.

12Continuing disclosure

Contractors must promptly notify APIS of information that may affect their registration or capacity to work, including statutory notices, prosecutions, serious incidents, common-law action, licence restrictions, insurance cancellation, insolvency, material disputes or other relevant changes. APIS may modify, condition, suspend or cancel registration after reviewing new information.

13Warranties and indemnity

The contractor warrants that its submissions are accurate and that it will comply with applicable laws and these terms. To the extent permitted by law, the contractor indemnifies APIS and relevant providers against loss arising from the contractor's breach, unlawful use, infringement, inaccurate information or failure to protect access credentials.

14Miscellaneous

These terms and referenced policies form the agreement concerning access to APIS Contractor Connect and supersede earlier representations on that subject. APIS may update the terms. If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. A delay in exercising a right is not a waiver.

15Assignment

The contractor may not assign its rights or obligations without APIS written consent. APIS may assign the agreement or its rights and obligations to an affiliate, successor or assignee.

16Invoice payments and service fee

A service fee equal to 10% of invoiced jobs completed and paid through APIS Contractor Connect applies under the commercial model. APIS will issue the contractor an official tax invoice for the applicable service fee.

17No work guarantee and establishment-fee condition

Registration does not guarantee any minimum work value, volume, allocation, exclusivity, territory or continuity. The supplied commercial terms state that the $3,500 plus GST establishment fee may be refunded after the contractor completes $100,000 excluding GST in invoiced and paid jobs allocated through APIS, subject to the current written APIS terms and verification that all conditions have been met. Contractors must keep all required business and compliance information current.
